    Unlike conventional single-range open path detectors, the IR5500 simultaneously monitors gas concentrations in both ppm·m and LEL·m ranges. This enables earlier detection of small gas leaks while maintaining reliable monitoring of larger gas releases. Automatic gain control continuously compensates for environmental conditions such as rain, fog, and dirty optics, helping maintain stable performance over time.
